RoR settings and smooth factor

This post shows how the RoR settings and the smooth factor change the Rate of Rise (RoR) the app calculates.

RoR step sets how often RoR is recalculated. At 15 seconds it updates every 15 seconds; at 60 seconds, every minute. Steps of 30 and 15 seconds are part of Premium.

Smooth factor sets how much averaging is applied. At 0 you see the raw RoR value; at ×4 each value is the average of the last four RoR values.

Without smoothing the line reacts faster, but it is also noisier.
